What’s included in my charter?
Pretty much everything! No need to bring a cooler. We have you covered for food and beverages. On a Full-Day charter you’ll start your day with a Tropical breakfast spread, and work your way into an afternoon charcuterie board. Water, soft drinks, beer, wine and cocktails will all be provided by your Crew. Half-Day charters will include either the breakfast spread or an afternoon charcuterie.
Can we stop at a beach bar, floating food stand or restaurant for lunch?
Of course! This is your day, your way! We can hit any of your favorites, from Lime Out and Pizza Pi to something a little more upscale like the Beach Club at Lovango. You’ll get a warm welcome from any location arriving on Tropic Pearl.
What should we bring with us?
Bring any personal belongings that you need to be happy and healthy for the day. We can store your day bags in 1 of the 2 cabins below. We recommend bringing non-aerosol Reef Safe sunblock, sunglasses, sunhats, SPF shirts and anything else you need for sun protection…. and of course swimsuits and towels.
What about water activities?
We have you covered there for sure. Want to snorkel with turtles? We’ll have plenty of snorkel gear, floats, pool noodles. You may not want to get out of the water once you get in.
How much is normal for a tip?
The standard for tipping crew in USVI is the same as a restaurant and bar. 15%-20% is the norm. Your crew’s goal is to go above and beyond your expectations of service. Let them know if they met or exceeded that goal. The gratuity is their main source of income.
Where do we board Tropic Pearl for our charter?
Our slip is located at Compass Point Marina Slip 133. We’ll meet you as you enter the marina and bring you out to the boat. We may also be able to make arrangements to pick up your party at a few other locations in St Thomas and St John. Just give us a call for arrangements. Directions to Compass Point Marina.
Can we customize the itinerary?
Absolutely! You’re on a private charter and this is your day. The Captain and Crew are very familiar with the area and can offer plenty of choices based on your style and preferences. YOUR DAY… YOUR WAY!
Is there an age limit or safety policy?
We ask that you please inform us if you have children or anyone with mobility or medical concerns. Safety is extremely important to us and we want to be prepared to care for you and your group. The Captain and Crew are all highly trained and certified in First Aid, CPR and Emergency Management. Life Jackets are provided for all ages. Yes, we even have infant life jackets and are very well prepared for babies and toddlers as the main salon area is gated.
Is there a bathroom on-board?
Yes, there’s much more than a bathroom. Your group will have it’s own private Queen Cabin down below. There is a full bathroom with sink and hot water shower. (There’s even a hot water shower on the back deck for after your swim or snorkel) If any of the little ones or even big ones need a nap, there’s a queen size bed waiting for you.
